The following list includes granting agencies that assist arts and culture groups as well as emerging and established artists. Grants include operating, capital and project grants for a wide variety of endeavours.

Ontario Arts Council
Ontario Arts Council offers more than fifty funding programs for Ontario-based artists (visual, performing, literary, aboriginal, educational) and arts organizations, with funds from the Ontario government. Grants provide assistance for a specific activity, support for a period of time, or for ongoing operations. OAC also offers awards, prizes and scholarships from private funds managed by the Ontario Arts Foundation.

Trillium
The Ontario Trillium Foundation distributes its funding to charities and not-for-profits through two granting programs: Community and Province-Wide. Within those programs, funding is allocated in four sectors: Arts and Culture, Environment, Sports and Recreation, and Human and Social Services.

Canada Council for the Arts
The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada’s national, arm’s-length arts funding agency. They provide funding to individual professional artists and arts organizations through a peer assessment process. As well they award fellowships and prizes to some 200 artists and scholars.
