Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Elliot Lake Arts & Heritage Centre

Goodness gracious, our third Open House is on Saturday.  And what an Open House it will be!

The Elliot Lake Arts Club Hosted Activities
From 10 AM to 4 PM, the Arts Club will deliver a mini Fiber Festival.  On hand will be spinners and weavers and artists who work with fiber. Visitors can watch demonstrations and even try their hand at spinning.

The workshop this month ($20 per person) is needle felt Voodoo doll construction. It is an artistic and witty take on February's Valentine obsession.  There are still some places available.  We encourage you to book in advance so you won't be disappointed on the 8th.  The workshop is from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

The Elliot Lake Model Railroad Club Hosted Activity
The model railroad club members will be on hand to answer questions, talk about membership and to demonstrate the latest developments in their build.  Ever since moving in to the Elliot Lake Arts and Heritage Centre, the Club has been building from scratch a train layout.  Each month you can witness the growth.  One track is working so you will see some train action too!  The boys are in the building between 10 AM and 4 PM.

ARIEL - The ARIEL Arts Space is now Open!
Our gallery shop is open to purchase last minute Made in Canada Valentine's gifts.  There are paintings, hand-crafted jewellery, leather purses, and beautiful turned wooden bowls for sale.  Combine a visit to our Open House with a shopping spree!

Running concurrently with the Festival is the amazing retrospective of artwork by Elliot Lake's own Linda Finn.  Curated and hung by her family, there is a lot of love on display.  The retrospective covers about twenty years of her creativity. We are proud that the Finn family allowed us to host this amazing selection.  Linda's work will be on display until March 31, 2025.

Elliot Lake Arts and Heritage Centre's Open House
They occur every second Saturday of the month, at 14 Elizabeth Walk in the ELAHC.  Don't miss one.
