Below are three photos of silent auction items that illustrate the diversity of things we'll be offering for bids. February 9, 2024 at the Winterfest Kick-off at Collins Hall, you'll be able to bid and enjoy Liam Kearney's performance.  In addition, you can commemorate the occasion at our selfie booth!

Have you imagined what an amazing art scape our silent auction tables will become?  From the vibrant leaf shaped trivets of Linda Duke to June Morgan's delightful quilted shopping bag. Winterfest Kick-off is going to glow with colour!

If you are new to Elliot Lake, you may be unfamiliar with ARIEL. We are a volunteer-driven, registered not-for-profit. Our mission is to provide a strong voice for arts and culture in the City of Elliot Lake. Not surprisingly, our membership includes local artists, many of whom have donated generously to our silent auction.  The auction is part of the Winterfest 2024 Kick-off, which will be held February 9, at Collins Hall.

We thank every one of them for sharing the gift of their talents.  This is one of a number of posts depicting auction items donated by the Arts Community. To bid you must attend the event.

A big thank you to Brown & Fabris Law Office for their generous donation to the Winterfest Kick-off silent auction.  The company has donated a package of services that include a his or her will, a power of attorney and living will.

If you've been meaning to get around to making your will, there is no better time to get it done...and support the Arts in Elliot Lake!

Spanish River Resort has donated 2 seasonal passes to the boat launch.  So, if you already have a boat, and need a place to launch it, this is the item on which you should bid.

If fishing is your thing? You can bid on a hand-crafted filet knife. Look at that beautiful handle and sheath.

​Aubrey Millard is a sailor and a member of Elate, Elliot Lake's amateur theatre ensemble.  His donation is of such stuff as dreams are made on: an afternoon sail for two, including a steak BBQ supper at anchor in Long Point Cove, and a sunset sail back to the North Channel Yacht Club in a 32 to 42 foot sailing yacht.

Just two weeks to go until the Winterfest Kick-off - 13 days.  That is not enough time to list all our silent auction items - one item per day.  So today, we start listing multiple items that have been donated by the good people and businesses of Elliot Lake.

BanPoM Thai Cuisine on Dunn Road; have you tried their take-out? Pom, the owner, has donated one cooking lesson for four people.  (Date night anyone?)

Thank you, Elliot Lake Model Railroad Club! Your donation to our silent auction is going to go to a good home! Is that home, going to be your's? This collection is a great combination of Canadian and European railroad memorabilia. 

The railroad kit is complete. It includes track and a transformer, so you'll just have to open the box and set it up. The bridge and building kits are DIY.  You will have to put them together.

Volunteers needed
Our team of volunteers is putting the finishing touches on the cabaret-style evening, featuring Liam Kearney. Tablecloths, centrepieces - everything needed to ensure the evening is in style. More volunteers are needed for the night of the event to help with the silent auction.  Email ARIEL to volunteer.

The children's show also stars the versatile Liam Kearney. This event is best suited for children under 12, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Valentine's Bonus
Because our Kick-off event is so close to Valentine's Day, some of our silent auction items will come with a bonus; a handcrafted Valentine's card.  The only thing the highest bidder will have to add is some romantic wrapping.
